Public Advisory Group for the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC)

The Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC) at the London School of Economics are running a project called Catalogue of Social Care Individualised Data (CASCID-2). This project aims to make UK social care data more accessible, inclusive, and useful for improving services and outcomes. They will do this by enhancing an online catalogue they have previously created.

The team is in the process of forming a Public Advisory Group of 10 individuals with lived experience of social care (people receiving care, providing unpaid care, or who have unmet care needs). They are especially keen to involve people from underrepresented communities, including ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, Disabled people, and others whose voices are very often missing from social care data.

Public Advisory Group members will:

  • Take part in three online meetings over two years, each lasting approximately 90 minutes
  • Help shape the direction of how the team enhances the catalogue (and which new datasets to add), ensuring it reflects real-world experiences and priorities
  • In the long-term, influence how social care data is collected, represented, and used to improve services
  • Be offered involvement payments (in line with CPEC’s public advisor payment policy)  and be supported to participate in inclusive and accessible ways

Deadline to apply: ongoing
