Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Network – The British Society for Immunology (BSI)
The British Society for Immunology (BSI) are recruiting a new Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) Network. The 15 network members will input into the work of the BSI such as public facing resources as well as potential projects their members (primarily research and clinical immunologists) are working on.
They are currently looking for individuals who live with an immunodeficiency or other conditions related to the immune system (asthma, autoimmune conditions), carers or others with interests in or connections to immunology.
The BSI will approach the network with involvement opportunities and will select a group of members to work on each project. Opportunities may include virtual meetings where a particular project is discussed or requests for feedback on a resource or document. As the network is new, the BSI expects to refine the commitment required with the network.
Closing date to apply: 22nd September 2025
Apply at: BSI Patient and Public Involvement Network | British Society for Immunology
Meetings will be held virtually to enable working with individuals across the UK although they are aware this may exclude others. The BSI will also share opportunities which do not require meetings such as commenting on documents. As the Network is new, they intend to refine ways of working with the members once they are recruited. They will also be providing honoraria in line with National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
