Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis research at Queen Mary University of London – can you help?

National

Queen Mary University of London are looking for people to get involved in their Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis research.
The Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis (CCSPED) research themes include existing screening approaches, potential early detection technologies, interventions to reduce cancer risk, psychological impact(s) of screening participation, and screening-related inequalities.

At CCSPED, they involve patients and members of the public in all of their research, to be guided by their lived experience. They also recognise and appreciate the diversity that exists in society and how this can impact on early detection cancer. They want their research to help as many people as possible, of all backgrounds. To achieve this, they endeavour to involve people from all backgrounds in shaping their research.

Who they are looking for:

Anyone interested! Their research is aimed at improving outcomes for the whole population. It is not necessary to have (or not have) a cancer diagnosis. You do not need to know about how research works to get involved.

Everyone’s views are important: they are keen to hear from as wide a range of voices as possible.

For any enquiries, please email ccsped-ppi@qmul.ac.uk

There are no deadlines to apply. Anyone interested is invited to sign up, whenever they feel time and circumstances might allow.

If you apply to take part, please let the organisers know you saw it advertised by Shaping Our Lives. Thank you!
