Accessibility review of Sarcoma UK’s Involvement webpage

Sarcoma UK is a is a national charity that funds vital research and offers information and support to anyone affected by sarcoma. They have their own Involvement Network made up of over 150 members.

They’ve been making changes to their webpage which is a way for people to sign up to get involved with Sarcoma UK’s work. They have two test pages to review, which they’ve taken to their network to make sure it’s representative of their experience. However, they know that their network will miss feedback from those that have found the page inaccessible previously.

We want to gain feedback to improve accessibility of the page where we can and are particularly wanting to hear from those that use screen readers and assistive technology. Once we’ve collected the feedback we aim to make those changes and publish our updated page.

How to Apply

They are looking for people who use screen readers and other assistive technology e.g., voice command software. If you also have a connection to Sarcoma please do let them know! They imagine it’ll take 20-30 minutes to review the suggested pages and give feedback through our Microsoft Forms survey. The survey contains the links to the webpages for you to review. If this doesn’t work for you or you’d prefer to go through things on a video or phone call, do let them know and this can be arranged. This might take longer than 20-30 minutes. They would like to have all feedback collected by Tuesday 26th November. Contact G at patient.involvement@sarcoma.org.uk for more information and who can send you the survey, as well as any other ways to get involved.

Expenses and Involvement

There will not be involvement payments for this involvement opportunity.
