Patient and Public Involvement Session for uMed
uMed is a health research company, aiming to make research accessible to all. uMed works closely with GP surgeries to invite patients to studies and research opportunities that they maybe eligible to take part in. This Patient & Public Involvement session is to look at the way in which data is shared and the information that patients are given when being invited to a study.
Who they are looking for:
- People who have experience of living with a health condition – this could be chronic illness, mental health or living with a disability
- uMed aims to make research as inclusive as possible and to reach those who are not often included in research
Expected commitment from participants:
- You will be sent a short pre-read, with some patient-facing information
- A remote 1-hour Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) session, held as an online meeting – there will be a short presentation and then gaining your views on the patient-facing material
Deadline to apply: initial contact to be made by 15th May 2026
Support will be given by the nursing team running the study to ensure that any barriers to participation are removed. One to one sessions can be accommodated where needed.
