Bangor University – Study Participants Needed
Researchers at Bangor University are looking for individuals to participate in a research study exploring the experience of being told by someone involved in your care or treatment that you lacked insight during a psychiatric inpatient stay (being in a unit or hospital for your mental health).
What they are looking for:
- Have been in a hospital for your mental health in the UK in the past 5 years
- Age 18 or older at the time of being in hospital
- Were told you “lacked insight” (or that you did not have the ability to make sense of your experience or contribute to decisions about your treatment) when in hospital
- Currently well and able to take part
Expected commitment from participants:
- One online interview (approximately 1 hour)
- You will be asked to share your experience of being told you lacked insight
Closing date to apply: March 2026
Interviews will be online and can be arranged at a time to suit you. Please contact the researcher if you have requests for adjustments or accommodations (e.g. seeing the questions in advance, or accessible formats for documents).
