NIHR Patient Engagement in Clinical Development (PECD) Service – Document Review – supporting children to reach a healthy weight.
The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is pleased to share an opportunity to be involved in the co-design of a commercial research study (that is a study funded by a pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device company) into supporting children to reach a healthy weight, by participating in an online document review. They want to hear your feedback to ensure that this, and future research, is as accessible as possible for everyone by designing it for patients, with patients.
Who the NIHR is looking for:
- Up to 18 adult individuals (aged over 18), living in the UK, to participate in this opportunity
- People with lived experience, as a parent or guardian for a child who is above a healthy weight and who may be experiencing weight-related health issues
- You will need to be able to access and use a word processing programme, such as Microsoft Word, to read the documentation and fill out a feedback form/forms
- You will need to be comfortable with reviewing the documentation and sending back comments online
Expected commitment from participants:
- This is an online review to gather public feedback on a clinical trial to support children to reach a healthy weight
- The NIHR want to ensure that the documents are informative, accessible, engaging and fit for purpose, and that the language used is appropriate for potential participants and carers
- Participants will have 10 days to review the documents and return their feedback
Closing date to apply: Wednesday, 10th December 2025 by 1 pm
Documents will be sent via e-mail. The NIHR will endeavour to make these documents as accessible as possible, depending on participant requirements.
