DIAL Barnsley is Recruiting for Three Different Roles
DIAL Barnsley is a local user-led organisation which, through the provision of advice and support, aims to address poverty and social exclusion for disabled people, their families and carers in the borough of Barnsley. Established in 1985, their services have developed to meet the needs of service users. They attribute the longevity and success of our organisation to our ethos which is to ‘See the person first’.
They are are currently recruiting for three different roles:
Marketing and Communications Officer – 16 hours per week – FTE £24,024, Pro-rata £10,982
An opportunity to play a key role in shaping marketing strategy, growing brand awareness, and ensuring our message reaches the right audiences in an engaging and impactful way. You will create compelling content, manage digital channels, and promote our services. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who is passionate about marketing.
Business and Support Assistant – 15 hours per week – £13 per hour, FTE £23,660, Pro-rata £10,140
This role will provide essential administrative and business support to our Senior Management Team. The ideal candidate will have strong IT and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. As a problem-solver with a logical mindset, your work will help ensure the smooth operation of DIAL.
Warm Connections Handyperson – 21 hours per week – £13 per hour, FTE £23,660, Pro-rata £14,196
Play a vital role in supporting individuals within the community alongside our Warm Connections team, ensuring a high-quality service tailored to the needs of clients. Duties include supplying and fitting warm home measures, like radiator reflectors and draught proofing, to improve the energy efficiency and comfort, and delivering winter warmth packs.

School of Health in Social Science (Edinburgh University Group) is Recruiting for a Research Assistant (Discovering Liveability)
Research Assistant – full-time 35 hours per week, fixed-term for 5 years, £34,132.00 to £39,355.00 per annum (appointment will be made at Spinal Point 26 (£34,132.00) due to budgetary restrictions)
The team are currently recruiting for a full-time Research Assistant role (5 years) with a fully funded part time PhD to join their growing research team. The role itself specifically focuses on community-based support for racialised / marginalised communities who experience suicidality / suicide / suicidal ideation.
They are seeking candidates with experience working with these communities, and particularly welcome applicants with their own lived experiences of racialisation, marginalisation, and/or suicidality.
