Wakefield‘s LGBTQ+ Centre, run by and for local LGBTQ+ people. Sober space, wheelchair accessible. Our House Cafe is open 4 days per week, serving speciality drinks, sweet treats, and art on display from local LGBTQ+ artists. Alongside the café is an independent shop selling a unique selection of LGBTQ+ books, badges and clothing from various queer artists and creatives, with all the profits going to the running of the space. Alongside the centre’s general opening times, Our House run regular events, workshops and community groups for the local LGBTQ+ community, private venue hire options and advice and training on LGBTQ+ inclusion. Please note: allies and supporters are welcome to visit the centre during general café open hours (listed below), but some events and groups are closed community events.
