Previously known as Coventry AIMHS (Actively Influencing Mental Health Services), Involve Coventry is a stakeholder led organisation - having a majority of people on our Board who have had personal experience of mental ill health. We are 'experts by experience'. Involve has been working in Coventry for well over a decade supporting people in both one to one and in group settings, providing free training, facilitating peer support and offering opportunities for people to be involved and work towards co-production. ​We offer time limited volunteering opportunities and regularly involve people in recruitment drives for Student Nurses, Social Workers, and for vacancies within CWPT and Coventry City Council. We facilitate a weekly peer led walking group, and have an established community meeting where services and stakeholders come together to discuss changes in local services provision. We also regularly collect Patient feedback from local mental health units in our locality and feed the comments back to hospital managers in an effort to affect positive change.
