Allerdale Disability Association is a user-led organisation providing a range of quality services to people with disabilities across Allerdale and the West Coast. We exist to support local disabled people, their families and carers, and as a not-for-profit charity all our funds are spent on supporting people in our community. We provide a highly valued information service, Monday to Friday, which provides information on issues from blue badges to benefits for disabled people, their families and carers throughout Allerdale and the West Coast. Our trained volunteers provide free practical support and advice, and with welfare rights we can assist you with completing benefits application forms and support your case through medicals up to appeal and tribunal level. We also provide a drop in centre on Mondays and Wednesdays, and a Talking Newspaper for people with a visual impairment each week.
