Are you partially sighted or blind? Do you live in the UK?

National

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) Connect Voices network is a UK-wide online group hosted on Facebook.

Connect Voices is the way for people with sight loss to hear about all opportunities to get involved with their work and the work of other organisations.  Many opportunities have already been shared such as short 5-minute surveys, research projects, invites to focus groups – in which the top issues affecting blind and partially sighted people are discussed, quick questions, steering groups, invites for feedback, and much more.

In using your experiences of sight loss, you could not only help to influence and shape the work of the RNIB and more, but you might help others going through, or that have gone through a similar situation to your own.

There are currently just over 800 members aged 18 or over with different opportunities being advertised each month.  Members can get involved as much or as little as they like.

If you, or someone you know might be interested in joining, all you need to do is follow this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/connectvoices

Facebook is not your cup of tea?  No problem.

For individuals who aren’t online, they do have other information channels where they share a selection of the opportunities available including:

Alternatively, if you have any questions please feel free to contact the Involvement Team at involvement@rnib.org.uk.

If you apply for this opportunity please let the organiser know that you saw it advertised by Shaping Our Lives. Thank you!
