The ageing of our society presents a range of challenges to housing providers. Not only will there be more older people in coming decades, but their needs and aspirations will be different. This report consults with older people living in Cumbria about their views and concern for future housing and wlfare needs. In particular, it looks at the barriers that may prevent them from staying in their own homes as they get older, how those barriers may be overcome, and what they need from housing and welfare provision to ensure their own well-being and cotentment.
