Bromley Experts by Experience (X by X) is a vibrant, disabled led organisation. We: support local Deaf and Disabled people and Carers to get their voices heard in local, regional and national policy-making and campaigns; run regular speaking up forums and feed into the Council’s Policy Development Scrutiny Committee as their co-opted “Physical Disability and Sensory Impairment” representative; provide accessible information about disability rights and entitlements, promoting independent living and inclusion; support young disabled people to develop independence and skills; offer a range of supported volunteering opportunities for people with access needs. We also use our website, newsletters and social media pages to share information about disability issues. We are based at Lewis House. Lewis House is a Centre for Independent Living and an Occupational Therapy (OT) assessment centre, which we manage and run for them.
