LCiL is a user led organisation based in Leicester city that works in innovative ways based on the social model of disability to support disabled people at a local, regional and national level to exercise choice and control for independent living. All our work is underpinned by the social model of disability and as a user led organisation we are run and controlled by disabled people. We positively promote equality in the workplace and in our services on the grounds of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation. Our aim is to provide a range of professional disability services in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland that empower disabled people and their family and friends and organisations to positively respond to disability and equality issues and contribute to achieving independence, inclusion and equality for disabled people. LCiL Advice provides accessible information and advice on all matters disability.The service is free and confidential for disabled people, older people, carers and family members as well as professionals working with disabled people. We run legal surgeries on a regular basis for those who may require a free legal consultation, and we can provide a range of bespoke solutions pertaining to employment, recruitment , training, as well as organisational development and research to give you a in depth understanding of disability for your organisation.
