Online workshops about the impact social care (or lack of) is having on your lives

Bringing Us Together & Being the Boss are holding a series of online workshops for people who are applying for or receiving funding from adult social care.

More information:

They want to hear about the pros and cons of engaging with and receiving support from adult social care. They are interested in:

  • the impact that support from social care has on your mental health & well being
  • your experiences of moving into adult social care (transition from children’s social care)
  • applying for social care/continuing health care funding
  • daily challenges

They want to gather and share your stories about the impact social care (or the lack of social care) is having on your lives.

They are running a series of workshops from January to June 2022, with different speakers each month, and you will have the opportunity to share your stories about social care. Workshops are for Disabled people and their family members.

  1. Carer’s Assessment & Eligibility Workshop (BUT & Imagineer) – 3rd May, 12.30pm – 2.30pm
  2. Disability Related Expenses – 6th April, 11am – 1pm
  3. Impact of Social Care on our Health & Well-being – 11th May, 11am – 1pm
  4. Accessing Public Services (BUT & Cerebra) – 17th May, 10am – 12.30pm
  5. What Good Looks Like – 25th May, 7pm – 9pm

Expenses and Involvement

Participants will be paid £20 for any workshop they participate in
