About the opportunity 

The service user and carer group in the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine at Edge Hill University are always looking for new members to join the group to help with all aspects of health and social care students training.

They are looking for:

As the student health and social care numbers are expanding and service users and carers must be involved in all aspects of the student health and social care professional programmes they are constantly seeking to attract new members with lived experience of physical, mental health or social care.

There are no requirements for people to do anything and group members can respond to whatever requests for involvement as they want. There are face to face opportunities but also options for online involvement too.

They have a buddy system to support members and a weekly informal online drop in so members can get both to meet other service users and carers and sometimes academic staff pop in online and students too.

Payment for involvement is £15 per hour plus travel if face to face on campus
