Talk For Health programme and taster sessions

Talk for Health is a social enterprise that demystifies effective therapeutic talk, making it accessible to all. They make group peer to peer counselling something we can all do – whether for our own wellbeing, to help others, or both.

The programme teaches the skills of authentic talking, empathic listening and managing a group. This enables all graduates to go on and join or set up their own ongoing groups for connection and wellbeing. Without the need for professional therapists – which is why they are called peer-to-peer support groups.

*** Please note: This taster is aimed at mental health professionals & peer workers working in NELFT (North East London Foundation Trust), as well as residents living in Havering, Redbridge, Waltham Forest and Barking & Dagenham.
