Shaping Our Lives call for participants in the Creating Care Partnerships project
5 November 2021
Can you help us design the Creating Care Partnerships project?
Shaping Our Lives, as part of a partnership led by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, are developing research teams in three locations which will bring together academic, practice professionals and people with lived experience. The partnerships aim to reduce the gap between those delivering adult social care and those doing research about it. The purpose is to improve the experiences for people working and living in residential care homes for older people.
We are looking for people who have direct experience of research in residential care for older people:
– carers of residents,
– or people working in residential care (voluntary or in paid work).
Your experience of research could be as part of a research project or from taking part in a survey, focus group or similar about residential care homes for older people.
What will you do?
We are looking for people to take part in the design phase of developing the model for these research partnerships. You will need to complete a short remote task and then attend a workshop or do an interview. All activities are to be done remotely (e.g. by phone or a video meeting).
There is an involvement payment and support costs available for people who are service users.
Please contact Becki Meakin on 07956 424511 or email email@example.com by Monday 15th November for more information.
